Avocet® works by reducing internode elongation through the inhibition of gibberellin biosynthesis, generating more compact plants. Avocet® is recommended for use on Fuerte avocados and can be applied as a spray or as a drench.
Trials in avocados have shown a reduced length of the spring flush in the treated trees and an increased initial fruit set.
