Two new products launched in the European market in 2016: Kudos® and Configure®SC
UK Plant Growth Regulator Manufacturer Fine Agrochemicals Ltd is proud to announce two brand new products to add to its portfolio in EU in 2016: kudos® for the top fruit segment and configure® SC for the ornamentals market.
KUDOS® – A new plant growth regulator for top fruit!
Fine’s new product, kudos®, will be added to fine’s already strong, existing top fruit portfolio of exilis® and novagib®.

Wim Aelbrecht, Marketing Manager for Fine explains further. “Today’s UK apple growers now have a new tool to control the vegetative growth of their apple trees. Thanks to its gibberellin production inhibition activity, kudos® reduces the cell enlargement process in the plant. As a result, the development of new shoots is reduced. Kudos® will allow growers to control the growth of their trees, to reduce the pruning workload and to enhance quality of the production via a better light penetration in the canopy and a higher nutrient allocation to the fruit.
Kudos® is based on the active ingredient, prohexadione-calcium. Fine is showcasing a new formulation technology that guarantees an optimized solubility of the water dispersible granules (WDG formulation). “
The product is available in 2.5kg containers.
Kudos® has been already successfully marketed in the US and South-Africa since 2015 and in the UK this year. We expected approvals in many other countries to follow to enable the product to launch in time for the 2017 season.

Configure® SC – The new tool for branching and flowering!
Configure® SC is the newest ornamental PGR product from fine for the use in Phalaenopsis, Schlumbergera and Sempervivum. It is the first and only registered cytokinin based product for ornamentals in the EU. Configure® SC will be added to fine’s existing ornamentals portfolio of dazide Enhance® and pirouette®.

Thanks to its cytokinin activity, configure® SC stimulates the cell division process in the plant. As a result of this unique mode of action, the development of additional stems and flower buds is increased. Configure® SC is the only product based on this cytokinin activity to be registered in the EU for ornamentals. Configure® SC will allow growers to produce healthy looking & fully-developed ornamental plants with improved commercial value.”
Configure® SC is currently registered in Denmark, Netherlands and UK but more countries will follow soon.
